Update -- Typical Uganda Day

I am in Uganda, living in the bush country. But here is an update, on both Liberia and Uganda.
-- The 1st half of my 3-week journey in Liberia went perfectly. Over 100+ people attended the "Christian Leadership (Organizational, Team Building) in Ministry, Family, Workplace, & Life Settings" and same number attended the class on Philippians. Special certificates were issued, and all were happy. They want some form of college education-Institute education. That is the vision in motion.
-- For the 2nd half, I am in Uganda today, both teaching Bible, evangelizing, and giving various seminars to marrieds. The emphasis here in Uganda is largely evangelism, although I am teaching Philippians. Non-stop schedule...brutal, actually. I may speak 2-3 times a day, visiting schools or local churches. I give sermons at 10 PM at night, in conditions that are basic at best, and then to speak at 9 AM in the morning. But all this is a joy, given the blessings that God gives!
To date, 124 have trusted Christ as their Savior. And more days lie ahead! The audience receives a gospel sermon and then an invitation. Old style evangelism -- it is beautiful! Afterwards, church leaders are told that the evangelist is one who "plants and waters" (1 Cor 3), but it is God alone who causes the harvest, i.e., God's unconditional election and the Holy Spirit's irresistible grace are on glorious display. Thus, there is a correct and true paradox on display and not contradictory: "God's Sovereignty is true, and the 'believer's responsibility' to share the gospel-evangelize is true." Paul always makes this clear that even when a decision is made trust in Christ, the internal action making this happen is God alone (John 6:29, 37, 39, 44, 65; Phil 1:6; 1:29; 2:13).
I encourage you to go on FB and look at many of the entries and photos that daily I place. Our FB name is "MichaelRuth Erickson"...
You will be impressed by the work of God!
